After conducting a review of Georgia's Natural, Archaeological, and Historic Resources GIS

(GNAHRGIS), there appear to be no previously recorded sites within the survey area of the six bridges. However, there were 16 previously recorded sites within a 1-kilometer radius of the survey areas of Old Grassdale Road, Puddin Ridge Road, and Old Vandiever Road (Table 1). Sites 9BR919, 9BR920, 9BR921 lie within a kilometer of Old Grassdale Road's survey area (Figure 3b). All of these sites are small lithic scatters found within a cornfield, heavily disturbed by cultivation (GASF 2000a-c). They were all considered to be ineligible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Sites 9DD15, 90021, 90022, 90026, 90050, 90051, and 9DD56 lie within a kilometer of Puddin Ridge Road (Figure 7b). They are all fairly dense lithic scatters found around Lookout Creek; 90026 also contained one limestone tempered sherd recovered from one of the shovel tests (GASF 1975a-g). Each of these sites is of unknown eligibility for the NRHP. Sites 9CK770, 9CK771 , 9CK772, 9CK773, 9CK774, and 9CK775 lie within a kilometer of Old Vandiever Drive (Figure 8b). Sites 9CK770, 9CK772, 9CK773 are lithic scatters located on ridge tops or near a spring and all were deemed ineligible for the NRHP (Alvey and Lanham 1993). 9CK771 is a historic homestead site with standing structures which was considered to be ineligible for the NRHP (Alvey and Lanham 1993). Sites 9CK774 and 9CK775 are both historic sites containing well pump houses, with 9CK775 also having a spring house (GASF 1993a-b). Each of these sites were recommended ineligible for the NRHP.
