This research design has been prepared by Panamerican Consultants, Inc. (PCI) for a Phase II evaluation of 27 archaeological sites within the boundaries of Fort Benning Military Reservation (Contract No. W911SF- 06-D-0013). This project is designed to arrive at determinations of site eligibility for placement on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Completion of this investigation is required to comply with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended, Executive Order 11593 (Protection and Enhancement ofCu1tural Environment), the Archaeological and Historical Preservation Act of 1974, the Department of Army Regulation 200-4, and the Department of Army Pamphlet 200-4.
