Abstract

Cultural resources surveys have been completed for portions of Compartments 19, 26, 41, 56, 59, 71, 79, and 89 on the Tallulah Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest. These surveys have been completed during the first half of FY92 for timber sales prior to planned activities in approximately 635 acres. A total of five new cultural resources were located and these are listed below. These projects were directed towards identifying and recording cultural resource properties, both historic and prehistoric, in compliance with Section 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and 36 CFR 800,and NEPA.
