CSSTP-M003-00(132), P.I. M003132 Fulton County Bridge Rehabilitation Project

Archeological Assessment of a Fulton County Bridge Rehabilitation Project. This project consists of the deck rehabilitation and deck joint replacement on the SR 280 (James Jackson Parkway) bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad. This project also includes the replacing of steel bearings at the north abutment and painting this area of repair and the strengthening of the intermediate bent caps by applying carbon fiber wraps. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, no new right-of-way is required.

Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
