Abstract

"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project F-055-1(39) Loop, Jackson County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to 1ocate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

This is the proposed Commerce Bypass from S.R. 15/S.R. 59 north of Commerce to U.S. 441 /S.R. 334 south of Commerce. The project would be 4.3 mi1es 1ong and bui1t on a 300-foot minimum right-of-way. A survey consistent with the project corridor was conducted.
