Abstract

Archeological Assessment of a Bibb County Resurfacing Project. This project consists of milling, leveling, resurfacing, and shoulder building on SR 22, beginning on the east side of Tobesofkee Creek Bridge (M.P. 6.59) and ending on the west side of the Intersection with Broadway Street/US 24 at M.P. 13.76. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, no new right-of-way is required. Total project length is 7.05 miles.

Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
