Abstract

This project proposes to widen U.S. 84 from C.R. 87 west of Naylor to a point just west of the Alapaha River. Generally, widening would occur south of U.S. 84 west of Naylor, be equilateral in Naylor, and north of U.S. 84 east of Naylor. The project would be 7.73 miles long and would require a right-of-way of approximately 100 to 165 feet. The project includes an approximate 100 acre proposed borrow facility north of U.S. 84 and east of Grand Bay Creek. An archaeological survey consistent with the proposed corridor was conducted.
