Abstract

“In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project F-003-2 Spur (32), Dekalb County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

The Project will begin east of the I-285 interchange and continue approximately 3.0 miles easterly, ending east of Mountain Industrial Boulevard. One land will be added in each direction. Bridge widening will be required for Brockett Road. No additional right of way will be required. Contract 1 is the plans for lane additions to the Stone Mountain Freeway in Dekalb County. Contract 2 will be for the upgrading of Mountain Industrial Boulevard interchange, including bridge widening.
