Abstract

This project involves spot patching, leveling, resurfacing, and shoulder building on SR 284 beginning at SR 11 Business and extending to Clarke Bridge over Lake Lanier. All work will be performed within the existing right-of-way. No additional right-of-way will be required. Pursuant to the February 2000 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
