Abstract

"In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project CSSTP-M003-00(328), Columbia County, has been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect.

This project proposes to improve SR 388 by milling, resurfacing and constructing 2' paved shoulders beginning at its intersection with SR 223 and ending at its intersection with SR 232. All work will take place within the existing right-of-way with no new right-of-way required. Total project length is approximately 4.55 miles.
