Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, Quick Response Project #77, Seminole County, has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect.

The proposed project would remove approximately 96 linear feet of 18-inch longitudinal storm drain pipe, to be replaced with 328 linear feet of 18-inch longitudinal pipe, 176 linear feet of 24-inch longitudinal pipe and 5 drop inlet to improve drainage along the south side of common SR 39 and 91 in the City of Dawsonville. Existing right-of-way is approximately 100 feet. All proposed work would be done within existing right-of-way. An archaeological survey consistent with the project description was conducted for the entire 0.13-mi le length of the project corridor.
