The proposed project consists of the milling, or removal of 1.5 inches of asphalt, from 10.7 miles of the two outside lanes of SR 515/ US 76 from west of SR 5 to north of CR 257 as well as the subsequent resurfacing of the same 10.7 miles of the two outer lanes . This work is considered preventive maintenance as the new layer of asphalt will prevent existing cracks from expanding. There will be no earthwork nor shoulder work, and the two inside lanes will not be affected. No additional right-of-way would be required.
