Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-195(7), Madison Co., has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor.

This project includes the bridge replacement and approach/road improvements on County Road 231 over Bigger Creek. The project will be about 800 feet long and will be built on an 80 foot R/W which will be more or less centered on the existing 40 foot R/W section.
