Abstract

Archaeological Assessment of Project STPN-75-2(217), Clayton County; Interstate improvements for the I-75/ Mt. Zion Boulevard interchange. Project STPN-75-2(217), Clayton County represents the proposed interchange improvements at I-75 and Mt. Zion Boulevard.

The proposed construction would widen the I-75 southbound exit ramp to Mount Zion Boulevard westbound from one lane to two lanes. The I-75 southbound to Mount Zion Boulevard eastbound ramp terminus will be realigned across from the I-75 southbound to Mount Zion Boulevard westbound ramp terminus. A new traffic signal would be installed at this realigned intersection. The left tum lane for the Mount Zion Boulevard westbound I-75 southbound movement will be lengthened, and a right-turn lane would be added for the Mount Zion Boulevard eastbound to I-75 southbound movement. Traffic would be maintained during construction. No additional right of way would be required.
