The proposed project would include the placement of roadway striping and the installation of stop bars and raised pavement markings along various off-system roads in the City of Calhoun in Gordon County, Georgia (see attached list for roadways). All project construction will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way.
Pursuant to the revised 2007 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
