Bridge categorical exclusion, BRF-027-3(13), Stewart County. The bridge is over US 27/ SR 1 and over Pataula Creek. The existing bridge is 300 feet long by 23.8 feet wide with an existing ROW at 200 feet. The proposed project will lengthen the bridge to 340 feet long by 40 feet wide. The project begins 1300 feet south of Pataula Creek and ends 1700 feet north of the creek. The purpose of this project is to replace three (3) existing narrow and structurally deficient bridges and thereby improve the operational safety of a major on-system facility. These bridges have Sufficiency Ratings of 7.0 (Site 1), 7.0 (Site 2), 5.0 (Site 3) and a Needs Rating of 56.
