This is a bridge project BRZLB-045(8), Carrol County. The bridge is on Reavesville Road (CR 97) and is over Little Tallapoosa River. The existing bridge is 92 feet long by 23.5 feet wide with timber, steel, and concrete substructure. It also has steel beams and a concrete deck. The existing ROW is 50 feet. This proposed project will establish a bridge that is 120 feet long by 32 feet wide and the new ROW will be 100 feet. Project beings .15 miles south of Little Tallapoosa River and ends 15 miles north of the River. The purpose of this project is to replace an e xi sting narrow and structurally deficient bridge and thereby improve the operational safety of the route which serves 30 dwellings and is a school bus route. This bridge has a Sufficiency Rating of 19.4, a State Rank of 579, and a Needs Rating of 49.
