Abstract

In compliance with Section I 06 of the National Historic Preservation Act of I 966 and amendments thereto, project CSSTP-0007-00(0 17), Hall County, Georgia, has been surveyed with respect to archeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify, and evaluate the significance of any archeological resources within the proposed project's area of potential environmental effect. This project proposes to add an acceleration lane to the median along southbound SR 365, starting at the intersection with Athens Street, and ending at a point .495 mile south of the intersection. The acceleration lane will be 12' wide with an 8' shoulder (2' paved). All work will take place within the existing right-of-way, no new right-of-way is required. Total project length is .495 mile.
