Abstract

Project STP -005-1(29), Troup County: Determination of No Undertaking; the subject project would consist of leveling and resurfacing of SR 109 in Troup County. The project would begin approximately 65 m (213.3ft) east of the intersection of SR 1 (MP 0.00) and would extend west to end at the intersection of SR 14 (MP 14.67). No earthwork would be involved in the process of leveling and resurfacing the existing roadway. No acquisition of additional right-of-way or construction would be required to implement the project. According to 36 CFR 800.2(o), an "undertaking" consists of "any project, activity, or program that can result in changes in the character or use of historic properties, if any such properties are located within the proposed project's area of potential effects. This project does not have the potential to result in changes to the character or use of any historic properties, therefore, the subject project does not constitute an undertaking. This finding fulfills the Department's requirements under Section 106.
