Abstract

This project involves the construction of a two lined facility from the intersection of S.R. 61 and U.S. 78 north .83 miles. The study corridor continues to S.R. 101. 300 feet of right-of-way will be needed. The construction will be on the right side of the right-of-way. No sites were located. The floodplain is so poorly drained that it was not possible to test to any depth. Whether the drainage problems are long term or a recent occurrence has not been determined. Though it is possible that a site exists below test depth because of the water table, such a site is beyond present identification. No steatite outcrops were noted in the project area. It is my opinion that there will be no affect to any potential National Register site by the construction of this project.
