Abstract

During the month of December, 1994 New South Associates, Inc. conducted a 29 km (18 mi) survey of US Highway 341/SR 27 in Appling and Wayne Counties, southeastern Georgia. This report details the background, methods, and results of this project. A total of 2 sites and 4 isolated finds were located along the corridor. One site represents a non-diagnostic aboriginal chert flake scatter, while the other is a surface scatter of mid- to late nineteenth century glass and ceramics. Both the sites and the isolated finds are recommended ineligible for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
