Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project LAB-12 -238-3(073), Columbia Co., has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. The project proposes to construct a triple 10' x 10' culvert over Uchee Creek on Co. Rd. 238 (Chamblin Road). The project is 1,500 feet long and will require a right-of-way of 80 feet. The proposed centerline will be just north of the existing facility.
