Georgia DOT Project # MLP-73(27) is an in place bridge replacement project at Lotts Creek and SR 73 near Statesboro in Bulloch County, District 5. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted. Only those areas which have been disturbed by previous bridge construction will be affected. For this reason, no archaeological field inspection is necessary and the archaeological resources of the State will not be affected. The project replaces an existing bridge which measures 24 foot wide by 400 feet long. The bridge will be replaced with a concrete bridge that is 400 feet long and 86 feet wide. The bridge crosses Lotts Creek at SR 73 in Statesboro, Georgia.
