Abstract

The proposed projects would consist of mainline milling and resurfacing, shoulder paving and building and balancing of travel lanes on various state routes in District 4. The maintenance projects include the following state routes: SR 310 in Decatur County (650); SR 112 in Mitchell County (651); SR 253 in Seminole County (652); SR 31 in Lanier and Lowndes Counties (653); and SR 37 in Baker County (654) [see enclosed maps). All work will be restricted to within the existing right-of-way. Pursuant to the February 2000 memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Federal Highway Administration (FHW A), the State Historic Preservation Officer of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (SHPO), and the Georgia Department of Transportation, this project is considered an undertaking as defined in 36 CFR 800.16(y), however, it has been determined there is no potential to affect historic properties included in or considered eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
