Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project SR-2390(4), Fayette County has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This project proposes to widen and reconstruct S.R. 314 from S.R. 85 north to S.R. 279. The existing two-lane would be widened to four lanes with a 20-foot median. Total length of the project is approximately 4.3 miles. An archaeological survey was conducted within the proposed project corridors.
