This is a bridge project, BRF-066-1(20), located in Bleckley County. The bridge is on SR 87/US 23 in Cochran and is a bridge that crosses the Southern Railroad. The existing structure is a 23.8 foot wide by 182 foot long timber, steel, and concrete bridge. The existing right-of-way is 100 feet on the south approach and 60 feet on the north approach. The proposed project begins 650 feet south of the existing tracks and ends approximately 720 feet north of the existing tracks. The new structure will be a 52 feet wide by 204 feet long concrete bridge skewed with the railroad. Additional right-of-way will be required and no detours will be constructed.
