Project STP-034-2(32), Irwin/ Ben Hill Counties: Determination of No Undertaking: The subject project would consist of leveling and surfacing of US 129 / SR 11. The proposed project would begin just south of Valdosta Avenue at MP 8.9 in the city of Ocilla and would end at the one-way pair at MP 3.9 in the city of Fitzgerald. No earthwork would be involved in the process of adding base and surfacing the existing roadway. No acquisition of additional right-of-way or construction would be required to implement the project. According to 36 CFR 8 00.2 (0), an "undertaking'' consists of "any project, activity, or program that can result in changes in the character or use of historic properties, if any such properties are located within the proposed project's area of potential effects. This project does not have the potential to result in changes to the character or use of any historic properties, therefore, the subject project does not constitute an undertaking. This finding fulfills the Department's requirements under Section 106.
