Abstract

During May and June 2017, August through October 2017, and February, May, and July 20 I 8, EPEi conducted a Phase I archaeological survey for the proposed addition of approximately 16 miles of express lanes along the SR 400 corridor in Fulton and Forsyth counties (Figures 1.1 and 1.2). The project lies between the SR 400/Abernathy Road interchange in Fulton County and the SR 400/McFarland Road interchange (Exit 12) in Forsyth County, for GDOT Project MSL00-0001-00(757), P.I. o. 0001757. The goal of the survey was to locate and evaluate archaeological sites within the ESB of the proposed undertaking so that the potential effects to identified resources could be evaluated in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
