A cultural resource survey has been completed on portions of 825 acres within Compartments 618 and 619, Toccoa Ranger District, Chattahoochee National Forest. This project is proposed to enhance habitat for the golden winged warbler on the south slope of Brawley Mountain in Fannin County, Georgia. A total of eight new sites (9FN453, 9FN454, 9FN455, 9FN456, 9FN457, 9FN458, 9FN459, and 9FN460) and two previously recorded sites (9FN101 and 9FN303) are within the project area. Site 9FN453 is recommended eligible for the National Register and the other seven 9FN454, 9FN455, 9FN456 9FN457, 9FN458, 9FN459 and 9FN460) are recommended ineligible for the National Register. Site 9FN101 is of unknown eligibility and site 9FN303 is ineligible. Of the eight new sites, there are two prehistoric sites, two historic homes, and four unknown historic rock piles and terraces.
