Abstract

During July 1993 cultural resources surveys were conducted on the Chestatee Ranger District in portions of Compartments 503, 504 and 505, along Pretty Branch Creek. A total of 112 acres in Union County, Georgia were surveyed prior to timber harvesting activities on the Chattahoochee National Forest. Shovel testing and field reconnaissance located one new cultural resource. In addition, not associated with this timber sale, the Waters Creek Game Warden's house was recorded. Both of these sites are recommended for protection and preservation.
