Phase I Archaeological Survey for Proposed Maintenance and Improvements to an Access Road in Prater Island Wetland Mitigation Bank, Whitfield County, Georgia

The proposed project is located within the Prater Island Wetland Mitigation Bank in Whitfield county, Georgia (Figure 1). The project consists of maintenance and improvements along approximately 1,020 ft (311 m) of the access road entering the tract from State Route (SR) 286. The work would include “daylighting” or clearing and grading 10 to 15 feet (3 to 4.5 m) on either side of the existing access road.
