Abstract

In compliance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and amendments thereto, project BRZLB-141(6), Hancock Co., has been surveyed with respect to archaeological resources, especially those on or eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The purpose of the survey was to locate, identify and evaluate the significance of any archaeological resources within the project corridor. This is the replacement of a bridge on County Road 124 over Peavy Branch. Replacement will be on new alignment east of the present facility. The project is approximately 1500 feet long and will require 100 feet of right-of -way.
