Georgia DOT Project # BRZLB-0245(3) is an in-place bridge replacement project at Oates Creek and County Road 447 in Richmond County District 2. Because the project is in place, no new areas will be impacted. Only those areas which have been disturbed by previous bridge construction will be affected. For this reason, no archaeological field inspection is necessary and the archaeological resources of the state will not be affected. The proposed project concept is to replace the existing timber bridge over Oates Creek on County Road 447 (Dial Street) with a bridge culvert, on existing alignment.
