On August 13, 2019, Brockington and Associates, Inc. (Brockington), conducted an intensive Phase I cultural resources survey and an assessment of effects (AOE) for the proposed improvements to Pipemakers Canal at the CSX Bridge project in Chatham County, Georgia. These improvements include realigning a small section of the canal, relocating the existing CSX Bridge, and improving the canal to match the dimensions of the existing upstream and downstream channel geometries. The proposed project will remove this drainage impediment and allow the canal to function properly.
