Abstract

The purpose of this project is to replace a structurally deficient bridge (Structure ID 301-5025-0) carrying Crosby Road/County Road (CR) 115 over Brier Creek in Warren County, Georgia (Figure 1). Originally, this project was a candidate for the Low Impact Bridge Program (LIBP); however the project has since been removed from the LIBP due a lack of sufficient existing Right-of-Way (ROW) to replace the bridge. The existing Right-of-Way (ROW) measures 80 feet. Plans are still in development and required ROW, easements, and proposed detours were not known at the time of survey.

The project is now state funded as a result of its removal from the LIBP program. This project was originally surveyed in 2017 for archaeological resources as part of the Low Impact Bridge Program and no resources were identified. Since that time, the project has added the need for required ROW. As a result, a new Environmental Survey Boundary (ESB) intended to encompass all potential design alternatives for the proposed project changes was provided prior to the survey.
