Abstract

In order to meet these objectives, an intensive cultural resource assessment survey and limited site testing at Sites 9CH1152 and 9CH1153 were conducted by ESI, the results of which are included within the report titled "An Intensive Archaeological Assessment Survey and Limited Site Testing at Sites 9CH1152 and 9CH1153 at the Wall Tract, Chatham County, Georgia," submitted to the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District Regulatory Branch for review.

This addendum report contains information specific to the relationship between the proposed light industrial development at the Wall tract and the NR-listed historic Savannah and Ogeechee Canal, which forms the southern boundary of the property. The applicant requests review of the proposed project and concurrence that the preservation of the 120-foot wide NRHP designated corridor, with limited physical impacts within an additional 25-foot buffer zone is acceptable.
