This report contains the results of an archaeological survey, conducted by Garrow and Associates, Inc., of the immediate development tract in Effingham County, Georgia which may be selected for the Fort Howard Paper Company plant site. Eight archaeological sites were located in this tract during the reconnaissance and survey phases of the project. Three of these sites have potentially significant archaeological remains and may be eligible for nomination to the National Register of historic Places.
