Abstract

New South Associates, between July 6 and 8, 1995, conducted three days of Phase I archaeological survey for the Richmond County Board of Commissioners. The survey covered a 50 acre tract south of Augusta. Only one site, a late 19th to early 20th century house site, was located. The site does not appear to qualify for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places, and no further study is recommended.
