Abstract

The two bridge replacement projects, Pl No. 0016585 and Pl No. 0016586, are twinned and being constructed at the same time. PI No. 0016585 {Bridge 275-0055-0): This project is located on County Road (CR) 305/Palmer Road over Little Ochlocknee River in Thomas County, 9.2 kilometers (km) (5.7 miles [mi]) west of the city of Meigs, Georgia. This project would replace the bridge structure over Little Ochlocknee River overflow. The proposed project consists of reconstructing the bridge at the current location and roadway centerline and utilizing on offsite detour for traffic. The project proposes the reconstruction of the eastbound bridge structure over Little Ochlocknee River overflow. The total length of the project is approximately 0.63 km (0.39 mi). The proposed bridge will be 46.3 meters (m) (152 feet [ft]) long by 9.2 m (30.2 ft) and will be constructed at the current location, elevation, and roadway centerline. Traffic will be closed to both lanes in each direction and routed onto the proposed denture during the reconstruction of the new bridge structure. The project is anticipated to be constructed within existing right-of-way (ROW). The total existing area of ROW is 1.577 4 hectares (ha) (3.8978 acres [ac]), and existing ROW width is 30.5 to 31.1 m (100 to 102 ft).
