The project proposes to construct a roundabout at the intersection of State Route (SR) 21 l and County Road (CR) l /CR 326/County Line-Auburn Road in Barrow County, approximately 5 miles northwest of Winder. The proposed project would replace the existing unsignalized intersection with a single-lane roundabout and improve the overall safety of the intersection. The acquisition of right-of-way (ROW) and easement would be required, although exact amounts are unknown at this time. The project's survey area discussed below is a concept-level ESB. Existing ROW widths range from 60 to 115 feet. Based on a review of Georgia's Natural, Archaeological, and Historic Resources Geographic Information System (GNAHRGIS), there are no previously recorded archaeological sites within one kilometer of the survey area.
