Abstract

The proposed project would replace the existing bridge (Structure ID 321-5046-0) on County Road (CR) 169/Melton Road over Town Creek, approximately two miles southwest of Poulan in Worth County, Georgia (Figure 1). It is anticipated that construction will close the roadway and route traffic to an off-site detour that would total five miles. Coordination is in progress to determine the viability of the off-site detour option. The existing bridge consists of two 10-foot travel lanes and measures approximately 68 feet long and 23.7 feet wide. Existing right-of-way (ROW) measures approximate 40 feet wide. Proposed ROW width is 80 feet.
