Abstract

The Georgia Department of Transportation {GDOT) Pl 0016597 project proposes to replace the existing 40-footlong bridge along County Road {CR) 372/Waters Road over Mill Creek {Structure ID No. 057-5035-0), southeast of Holly Springs, in Cherokee County, Georgia. The proposed 60-foot-long bridge will consist of two 11-foot lanes with 3-foot outside shoulders and concrete barriers on each side. The single-span bridge is estimated to be raised approximately 1.75-foot above the existing roadway surface with a total deck width of 31 .25-foot. The existing Right-of-Way {ROW) is 40 feet wide. Current proposed ROW ranges from 40 feet wide at either end of the survey area, up to 175 feet wide around the bridge. The bridge will be replaced on it's existing alignment, and an off-site detour will be utilized.
