Abstract

Viasat, Inc. (Viasat) proposes to construct, operate, and maintain a new satellite earth station (satellite) not to exceed 20 feet (ft) in height, located in Laurens County, Georgia (Project). The Project is in north central Laurens County approximately 219 meters (m) southwest of Perry Dairy Road and 751 m northeast of Wyatt Road approximately 5.70 kilometers (km) northwest from the City of Dublin (Latitude/Longitude [NAD83]: 32.589833°, -82.920806°). Proposed plans include the use of an existing 214-m-long by 6.1-m-wide access road beginning at Perry Dairy Road and following along an existing tree line before turning east to the pad location. The proposed pad, including workspace, measures 7.6-m by 8.5-m. A utility easement measuring 234-m by 3.0-m is proposed starting at the southeastern border of the pad location and extending southwest. The total Project area measures approximately 0.51 acre (ac) (0.21 hectare [ha]). A United States Geological Survey (USGS) map and aerial photograph of the Project location are provided in Figures 1 and 2 in the Figures and Photographs section at the end of the report.
