On September 13, 1995, New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed improvements to the I-285/Paces Ferry Interchange. The improvements consist of a total of 0.66 mile in length and include the replacement of the existing Paces Ferry Bridge over I-285 as well as improvements at the Paces Ferry Road/Cumberland Parkway and Paces Ferry Road/Spring Hill Intersections. The survey did not locate any archaeological sites and no further study of the area is recommended.
