Abstract

In 1995 Southeastern Archeological Services conducted an intensive archeological survey of an approximately 27 km (17 mi) portion of U.S. 84/S.R. 38 in Pierce and Wayne Counties, Georgia. Two archeological sites (9PR14 and 9PR15) were recorded. Both are late nineteenth to early twentieth century house sites. Although they are within the proposed area of potential environmental effect, due to low research potential both sites are recommended ineligible to the National Register of Historic Places. No further work or management considerations are recommended for these sites.
