Abstract

The following project was conducted on Land Lots 9, 10, 63 and 64 of original Cherokee (now Cobb) District 16th, Section 2; it is also located in the Gritter's Georgia Militia District 911. The project was originally designated as "Noonday Creek Treatment Facility Modification Design, State Clearinghouse Control Number 76-09-10-10." Primary Impact Area was assessed as 82.87 acres, none of which occurs within the floodplain of Noonday Creek, but is located on a low hill (top elevation 958 feet MSL) east of Noonday's main channel, 4,000 feet north of the confluence of the main channel with Little Noonday Creek. The project was conducted under the auspices of the Cobb County Water and Sewer System, Mr. William Floyd, Supervising Engineer. Base maps were provided by the firm of Mayes, Sudderth, and Etheridge, Inc., consultant engineers.
