Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I Archaeological Survey of three proposed intersection improvements to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. The survey of the Lynhurst Drive Intersection, Fairburn Road and Kenner Drive Extension, and the Hightower Road Intersection was conducted on January 22, 1996. No previously recorded archaeological sites were recorded within the confines of the three study areas and no new sites were located by this survey. No further archaeological study of the three proposed intersection improvements is recommended.
