Abstract

A cultural resources survey was conducted by the author on a 3- acre parcel proposed for a borrow pit adjacent to the current City of Baldwin Wastewater Treatment Plant on the upper South Fork of Little Mud Creek in southeastern Habersham County, Georgia. The area surveyed was steep, and most of it had been previously disturbed during the construction of the treatment plant. No topsoil remained in place, and no indications of previous cultural activities, other than the previous borrow efforts, were noted. There should be no effect on the cultural resources of the area from the proposed borrow and construction activities.
