Abstract

New South Associates conducted a Phase I archaeological survey of the proposed State Route 20 widening and relocation on April 2 and 5, 1996. The project corridor is approximately 2.5 miles in length, beginning at the intersection of Interstate 85 and State Route 20 and extending to the intersection of Interstate 985 and State Route 20. A pedestrian survey designed to identify archaeological sites was conducted along the study corridor. No sites were discovered by the survey and no further archaeological study is recommended.
