Abstract

An archeological survey of the proposed Bethsaida Road improvement project, located in Riverdale, Clayton County, Georgia, located one early twentieth century house site that will be destroyed by the rerouting of a 200 ft section of Powers Road. The site is not considered to be eligible to the National Register of Historic Places. Most of the proposed project is within the existing road rights-of-ways, in heavily disturbed commercial and residential areas. No significant or intact archeological sites are judged to have survived in these areas. The project should be allowed to proceed.
